Lundin Farm is owned by Richard and Rose Lundin, and is located in Del Norte, Colorado.

Both of the Rose's have been involved with horses, in one aspect or another, for virtually their entire life.

In addition to their skills breeding and raising show horses, the Lundins are also livestock wranglers. With a second facility in Los Angeles, California, the Lundins have been supplying livestock to the motion picture industry for quite a while now.

Rose's father, George Spahn, was in the movie business since 1927, supplying everything from bees and buzzards to ducks and horses.

Rose became involved in the livestock business at a young age of 3. Richard also got involved early on when he was still in the military at age 18. The Lundins have 4 adult children, who also are involved in the movie business.

The 350 acre Lundin Ranch in Colorado is home to anywhere from 25 personal horses and 50-60 movie horses. This number can increase dramatically if need be, as when the Lundin herd swelled to 450 horses for the filming of City Slickers II.

Rose Lundin originally got involved with reiners through her father, who she remembers as "always having fancy horses."

After seeing reining horses for the first time at the Hearst Ranch in California on a trip with her dad, she made up her mind to one day have one of her own.

Many years later, the Lundins decided to get involved in the reining industry after watching the NRHA Futurity in Oklahoma City. The Lundins had long been breeding nice stock on their Colorado farm, but when the crossed their good mare, RL Miss Kitty with APHA World Champion, Like A Diamond, they knew they had something special in the resulting colt-RR Star.

RR Star went on to make history. As the NRHA Open Futurity Champion, the NRHA Open Derby Champion, and the All Time Highest Money Paint horse in the NRHA, this superstar stallion has broken all the records.

The Lundins are continuing their livestock wrangling business, while also building a top notch band of broodmares, in hopes of breeding the next reining superstar. You can contact the Lundins via e-mail at: RRCowboy@Wildblue.net.
